Salzburg will host the IAML Congress in 2025. The main venue will be the new building of the Faculty of the Humanities of Paris Lodron University (UNIPARK Nonntal), however, the Opening Reception and some of the concerts will take place at Mozarteum University. As most Salzburg music libraries and archives will be working together organizing the conference, there will be ample opportunity to get in touch with the rich musical heritage of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s home town, sample some music and discover the beauties of Salzburg and its surroundings.

Congress Venue

The UNIPARK Nonntal has been home to large parts of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Paris Lodron University Salzburg (in short PLUS) since 2011. It includes the departments of English and American Studies, German Language and Literature, Romance Languages and Literatures, Slavonic Studies, Linguistics, Educational Science and, last but not least, Art History, Musicology and Dance Studies. These departments are also represented in the Unipark Library on the 1st basement floor.

Mozarteum University is a place, where more than 2000 highly talented students from 70 countries together with 550 teachers devote themselves to music and the arts. With over 700 public events a year - from concerts, operas and theatre to exhibitions and performances - the Mozarteum University makes a substantial contribution to Salzburg’s cultural life. For the Opening Ceremony, we will welcome you at the Solitaire of the Mozarteum University, a modern chamber music hall, which offers a magnificent view of the Mirabell Gardens and the Mönchsberg through a large glass front and a loggia behind the stage.
